Electronic Waste
Electric and battery-operated items can contain hazardous materials like lead, mercury, and cadmium. They pose a threat to the environment if buried in a landfill. Bring these items and everyday electric items to a Community Recycling Centre (residential loads only). Fees may apply.
Reusing items is a useful way to cut down on waste. Ask yourself if this item can be donated or sold before disposing of it.
Be sure to remove any batteries from the device (these locations accept the batteries too).
