Hazardous Waste
Lead-acid batteries can be dropped off for free as part of the Canadian Battery Association’s ‘Take-Back’ recycling program.
Learn about the program, accepted items, and find a drop-off location.
Bring these items to any one of the City's three Community Recycling Centres (residential loads only).
Other products such as paint, pesticides, motor oil, smoke detectors and batteries can also be harmful if not disposed of safely at a hazardous waste drop-off location.
