Durable medical equipment such as crutches and wheelchairs can be reused, donated, or sold if they are in working condition.
Medical equipment mostly made of metal is not collected as bulk garbage. These items can be recycled at a Community Recycling Centre in the metal bin.
Call 905-546-CITY (2489) at least one week before you want your bulk garbage picked up.
Ensure each item weighs no more than 90 kg (200 lb) and is no longer than 1.2 m (4ft). Tie smaller items in bundles weighing no more than 23 kg (50 lbs).
*Maximum four items will be picked up with each call.
